Overview
Polyalkylene Glycol (PAG) is a synthetic industrial gear oil formulated on polyalkylene glycol (PAG) base stock. It is offered in ISO VG 150, ISO VG 220, ISO VG 320.
The specification table lists, for each grade, kinematic viscosity at 40 °C and 100 °C, viscosity index, pour point, flash point and four-ball weld load, each with its test method. Share operating conditions with our technical team to confirm the grade before supply.
Application
Industrial gearboxes specifying a PAG oil
Gear units whose manufacturer calls for a PAG-based gear oil. PAG oils are a distinct chemistry; confirm miscibility and seal compatibility before changing over.
Feature
Published values
ISO VG 150: KV40 150 cSt, KV100 21.5 cSt, VI 246, pour point -45 °C; ISO VG 220: KV40 221 cSt, KV100 43.8 cSt, VI 253, pour point -42 °C; ISO VG 320: KV40 324 cSt, KV100 64.6 cSt, VI 256, pour point -36 °C.
Feature
Viscosity grades checked against ISO 3448
Published kinematic viscosity at 40 °C sits inside the ISO 3448 tolerance (mid-point ±10 %) for ISO VG 150 (150 cSt); ISO VG 220 (221 cSt); ISO VG 320 (324 cSt).
Feature
Extended test set
Besides viscosity, the published data includes four-ball weld load, flash point (COC) and foaming tendency.
